Untitled (New York) is a witty and whimsical rendering of the city. The video, silent and in slow-motion, captures the moment where passersby turn around and look at the artist. This moment of ‘looking behind’ shows faces of distrust, disgust and at times empathy. The reactions of the people and the slow pace of the video dramatizes the action, and presents the city as a theatrical platform for both the observer and the observed.
